Do you want to launch your career into space?

Company details

Ever dreamed of working on satellites but considered it too exotic to be realistic? Maybe you have an engineering degree and a passion for space, but never realized actually working in space is possible in Belgium?

Well, here’s a wake-up call for you: you can join us at Redwire!

We build complete satellites, scientific instruments for the International Space Station, docking systems for spacecraft and much more. As we grow, we are not only hiring highly experienced space engineers, but we also want to provide a chance for passionate junior and graduate engineers to step into our world.

Function

There isn’t a standard job description for graduate and junior engineers embarking with Redwire: after your application and initial interview we will work together with you to find a role for you to start in. Based on your studies and interests, this can be anything from electronics, software, mechanical or system level activities. Tasks include design, review, integrate, test…

In any case: at Redwire we support our engineers to find their professional path within our organization, over time growing into more managerial roles or specializing in one or more technical roles instead.

Profile

Desired skills/experience/knowledge

The basics. Typically, you would need to have these three boxes ticked:

  • Master's degree in engineering or similar. Specific courses in (aero)space are not mandatory.

  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is a must. Due to the international nature of our activities, all communication with customer, suppliers and most colleagues will be in English. So being able to express yourself in English (both verbally and written) is an absolute must.

  • Passion for space. Maybe the most important element and what ties us all together here at Redwire.

Optionally, what helps in your favor:

  • Being hands-on and proactive in looking for solutions. We tend to offer our engineers a lot of freedom, so making use of this freedom in a positive way is more than welcome.

  • Being open to learning and not afraid of asking questions. Becoming an experienced space engineer typically takes many years. At Redwire we combine dedicated training with ‘on the job’ learning. The intention is to allow you to pick up more skills as you grow with the projects you are working on.

Offer

  • Work in a well-known space company in Belgium or Luxembourg.

  • On top of competitive salaries and fringe benefits, we are offering flexibility, work-life balance, and an open and friendly working environment.

  • You will also become one of the privileged engineers that can say some of the hardware they helped build is actually orbiting Earth!
